5 Keys to Lasting Change

Is it too late to wish you Happy New Year? Quite possibly but as I haven’t written a blog post for, well, months, I hope you won’t mind!   Did you set yourself new some resolutions or new intentions this year? I hope that they’re going well and that you’re sticking to them but statistics suggest that 66% of UK people who started a resolution in Jan 2015 had given it up within a month so read on for my 5 keys to lasting change. Einstein is often quoted as saying the quote below. I’ve no idea whether it’ true that he said […] Read more »

Are you painting over the cracks?

orange paint

How is May treating you? Are you also on a Spring Fever clearout like me? This is a slightly longer post than usual but stick with it as there’s some time sensitive info at the end 🙂 Actually, it’s not so much as a clear out (though that does need doing) as a fresh start. At least when it comes to the decoration of my home. If you read my last email then you might remember me mentioning painting my kitchen wall? I’d quickly applied the first coat of the ‘feature’ colour: Mango (that’s bright orange to you and me!) […] Read more »

Are you feeling ready for a fresh start?

Are you feeling ready for a fresh start in some (or more than one) area of your life? If so then it’s the perfect time of year to do so. Regardless of your religious views (or not) of the past few days, spring is most definitely in the air – in the UK at least! There is a frenzy of outdoor activity…. grass cutting, clearing out the weeds and deadwood, re-positioning planters for a better view, sweeping away the cobwebs, clearing out the guttering…. and that’s just outside 🙂 I spent 4 hours at the weekend cutting back and digging […] Read more »

2013 – the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly!

Well, that’s 2013 done and dusted, lets get on with this year now! That might be what many of you (including me) are thinking, especially if your year was either mixed or mostly full of lows/challenges/changes. This seems to have been the case for many in 2013.  Hot on the heels of all the hope that was pinned onto 21/12/2012 I don’t think we realised that the year that followed was going to be so full of change and upheaval! Just before you close the book on 2013 and launch fully into this new, bright, shiny year, which feels so […] Read more »

Goals, intentions, commitments – what are you choosing?

I’m sure you’ve had several ‘new year, new you’ emails by now so I hope you’ll find this post interesting enough to read until the end – it has ended up being rather long! How was you Christmas-time? I hope you managed to have a peaceful and restful time and weren’t affected by the floods and powercuts that some areas of the UK have suffered over the last couple of weeks? I’m sure my imagination doesn’t even get close to what’s it’s actually like to be flooded out so if that was you my thoughts are with you as you […] Read more »

It’s a wrap! Merry Christmas and Thank You :)

Christmas snowman

Well folks, that’s a wrap as they say in the tv/film world! We’re pretty much at the end of 2013 and it’s Christmas Eve too so I hope you also have all your presents wrapped by now and you can start to enjoy your Christmas-time. What have you got planned? Me, I’m going to spend a couple of days with my Sister and her family and call in on my Dad en-route. I love Christmas and the time it gives us to re-calibrate, to slow down (after the rushing around of food shopping and present delivering etc!), to give thanks […] Read more »

What to do when you don’t know what to do….

Hello there! It’s been a while since I’ve posted…. apologies for the ‘radio silence’. So, where have I been, what’s been going on and what has that got to do with the topic of this email? …. as usual…. pretty much everything, as most of what I share with you stems from what’s going on in my life and how you can use that in yours 🙂 I think I last emailed round about my ‘big’ birthday back in July. That turned out to be more of a turning point than I expected. Once the day itself had passed it […] Read more »

Have you settled for anything in your life?

Have you settled in any areas of your life without realising it? I’m approaching a big ‘noughty’ birthday in 10 days and it’s bringing up all sorts of thoughts, feelings and emotions for me to process. I’ll share more of this in a couple of weeks but as I reflect on my life so far and what lies ahead, what I still want to achieve, how I want to live my life and who I want to share my life with, I found myself pondering this question: Have I settled in any areas of my life? In other words, have […] Read more »

Can you be friends with your ex?

I’ve been pondering this thought for a while – can you be friends with your ex? Especially immediately after you break up?  I’d love to know what you think!  Here are my thoughts….. For those of you that have been reading my blog for a while you’ll know what has triggered this thought….. I separated from my ex-fiance last August  – triggered by him and his assertion that he needed to be single to carry out his duties as a vicar. I agreed,  as at the time I felt that was the best thing for both of us. But deep […] Read more »

Can anger be positive?

I’ve had cause to re-evaluate my views on anger recently. How do you feel about anger? Do you recognise any of these? it’s always bad it’s bad when I can’t control it I keep it bottled up it’s better to let it out … something else? I’d love to know so please feel free to comment. I’m very aware that until the last few years, since I started on my path of self awareness and self development, that I always viewed anger as bad, even arguments let alone actual anger!  In my early years (when we form our beliefs) I […] Read more »
